About OISPA

Every parent is a member of OISPA.  It is the members who elect a committee each year.  The committee then works with students, teachers, administrators, and parents in fundraising efforts, communication, and sponsoring activities for students and families to strengthen the school community. Our ideas for the year remain true to our belief and aim as “to support the school for the benefit of all students” and that we should all greet each school year in spectacularly original ways.

OISPA Constitution

Article 1 - Name

The name of the Association is Oslo International School Parent’s Association, referred to hereafter as the Association.

Article 2 - Aim

The aim of the Association is to give practical assistance and support to the School for the benefit of the pupils.

Article 3 - Members

All parents of the children attending the Oslo International School and Kindergarten are members of the Association.

Article 4 - Election of Committee Members

All members of the Association are eligible for election to the committee.

Article 5 - Committee

The committee is to consist of 12-14 officers including a chairman, treasurer and a secretary. A quorum is five members.

Article 6 - President

The Director of the school is to be the President of the Association.

Article 7 - Annual General Meeting

The committee is to arrange an Annual General Meeting of the Association each September/ October to elect a new committee and present its report to the Association.

Article 8 - Amendments

Amendments to the constitution may only be made with the approval of the president and a two-thirds majority of the members of the Association.
