OSLO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

COMMUNICATION

OIS uses itslearning for communication purposes. You will receive a login and password.

 

Students in Pre-school and Primary (up to Year 5)  will be provided a blue bag to carry communication books and schoolwork in.

 

Pre-school, Years 1 & 2 students also have “communication book” that they will carry to school daily. This is a place for parents to write any news a teacher may need for the day and for the teacher to write messages to parents.

 

"The Communicator", an electronic bulletin of the following week’s activities, is also sent out every Friday.

 

CLOTHING

Children will go outside daily regardless of weather (Except extreme conditions). Please dress them appropriately for winter and/or rain. Please ask if you need any recommendation for clothing or where to find specific items.

FOOD

OIS has no cafeteria service. Children should bring a light snack, lunch and a drink. When packing your childs food, please remember that OIS is a NUT FREE school.

DROP OFF & PICK UP

They can be very busy. Please follow the traffic signs and patterns to avoid congestion. Please try and park away from the school campus. We suggest you use the parking facilities at Nadderudhallen and walk across the playing field to school. Please note parking adjacent to the school building is for staff only.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT

An orientation meeting with staff and teachers and a forum for parents to ask questions.

ANCILLARY INSTRUCTION

Ski school, swim school and nature school are part of the curriculum at OIS. More information will be provided by teachers before the activities start.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

The OIS After School Programs are divided into three seasons:

• Season 1: September 4th to November 10th 2017.

• Season 2: November 27th to February 9th, 2018.

• Season 3: March 5th to June 1st 2018.
