Spirit Wear &
Refleksdagen
When: October 14, 15 & 16
Time: Drop-off (8.45-9.15)
Pick-up (14.45-15.30)
Place: OIS Lobby & Main Playground
Each October, our school celebrates the Spirit Wear Campaign, where parents and students can purchase clothing, all with the OIS logo! Go on, you know you want to. Come in, have peak.
Also, as a service to parents, we will be selling an assortment of reflective gear.
Trunk or Treat
When: October 31
Time: 16.00 to 17.30
Place: OIS Main Playground
As you already know or will discover soon enough, Halloween is not celebrated in Norway.
However, each year the OISPA organises Trunk or Treat, whereby the students can trick or treat from car trunk to car trunk in the OIS playground.
Participants dress up and decorate their cars for this event and OF COURSE bring candy to distribute.
Santa Day
When: December 12, 2014
Time: 11.00 to 14.30
Place: OIS Lobby
A great opportunity for children to take a picture with Santa and enjoy some milk and cookies…
Book Fair
When: November 13 (8.30-16.30)
November 14 (8.30-12.00)
Place: OIS Library
Each November, OIS teachers and parents combine forces to put on a Scholastic book fair at OIS. The book fair is an opportunity to shop for English-language books at reasonable prices!
A selection of dual-language books is also available so that EAL students can buy books that are written in their mother tongue, while also practicing English!
International Picnic
When: March 21, 2015
Time: 14.00 - 17.00
Place: OIS Lobby
The International Picnic shows off OIS diversity in the best possible way... with food!
The day revolves around the tastiest selection of international food you’ll find in Oslo, all specially prepared by our talented OIS community.
Spring Loppemarked
When: April 25, 2015
Time: 10.00 to 15.00
Place: OIS Lobby
The Norwegian version of a flea market! Rent a table to sell items you no longer want (toys, clothes, books, household items) or come and shop for items you need.
There's also a baked goods sale with yummy homemade goodies!
Staff Appreciation
When: May 8, 2015
Time: 11.00 to 13.00
Place: OIS Staff Room
This event is organized by the OISPA to give a great big “Thank You!” to the hard-working teachers and staff at OIS.
OISPA organizes parents to bring food and drinks, and sets out a wonderful spread of yummy savory and sweet goodies to show everyone at OIS how much we appreciate them and all they do for our kids.
